Presentation of the MSc Sustainable Energy Futures
The reduction in fossil fuel resources (and the resulting sustained increase in their price), the considerable increase in demand for energy, supply difficulties, the weight of the energy sector in GHG emissions and the fight against climate change (reaffirmed by the ratification of the Paris Agreements in 2015) require a rapid and in-depth transformation of the methods of energy production and consumption.
To achieve this, traditional players in the sector (Total, EDF, ENGIE, etc.), as well as new players, must mobilize and adapt by relying heavily on the recruitment of new profiles .
This program offers a global vision of the energy and environment sectors , drawing on both science and technology , as well as human and social sciences (political science, economics, etc.).
Its main objective is to train executives capable of designing and implementing intelligent systems for managing energy infrastructures, controlling consumption and storing energy using all the possibilities of “high-tech” in terms of control-command, sensor networks and information systems; it thus allows them to understand the changes in the Energy and Environment sectors , to grasp the new associated challenges , to respond to and anticipate threats and to deploy appropriate solutions .
